In 2001 his photograph of an aurora above and beyond an erupting volcano was selected as one of the 100 best photographs ever published in the National Geographic in 112 years of the magazine´s history.

The aurora is among the grandest natural phenomenon seen on Earth. This book contains 120 fantastic photographs of the aurora in its many different forms, with tips on viewing and photographing, as well as facts and myths about the aurora.
